Procedure for Proposing New Members
– How do you get an application?
If a Fairway Club member has a prospect that he has determined will be a proper fit, he should contact the Membership Director providing background on the prospect such as age, how long you have known this person, handicap, club memberships, etc. The Membership Director will present this information to the Executive Committee who will decide if the prospect is a good fit for the club based on how this person would fit into the club’s plans and the existing demographic makeup of the club’s membership. If the Executive Committee decides the prospect should be considered for membership, the Membership Director will send an application to the sponsor of the prospect.[] Please note that the Executive Committee targets membership candidates from new Clubs that will expand the Fairway Club’s venues beyond the current listing.
Do we have any openings? Are we looking for members?
At the end of 2014, we had 36 active members – full membership. There were four members in waiting. The bylaws state we cannot have more than six members in waiting. There were seven inactive members. Note that with the resignation of Ben Dutton, the Club now has only three members from Rolling Green.
What clubs are we looking to have included? Gulf Mills, Lehigh, and Philadelphia Country Club.
